In 7 days my outdoor season will officially start for 2017. To say I’m not nervous would be lying. When you have such high expatiations of yourself its hard not to get a little nervous, especially when this will be my first decathlon in 6 years.
Since finding out about the issues with my shins/calves training hasn’t been great and neither has my diet. But this is something that all athletes go through and it’s a tough dealing with certain little injuries. I suppose when you starve yourself of certain foods when there comes a point of being able to have them you just go all in, well I do anyway.
Since November 2016 I have had a few issues with my lower legs, particularly in my calves. Six months later following a trip to a specialist i have found out that it’s not the muscles themselves that are the issue but the biomechanics from my feet to my hips.
This is just a quick post so won’t take too long to read. I wanted something that would help my calorie intake and which was simply to make and could be eaten anytime. There are many recipes for overnight oats this is my twist.
